Francesco is a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Specialist.

Background: Francesco completed a Medical Science degree with first class honours in Biochemistry (1999) and then an MBBS (2003) both at Sydney University. He completed his training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and the Western Australian Sleep Disorders Research Institute in 2012. He currently is a specialist at the Midland SJOG Public and Private Hospitals where he is the Head of the Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Service.

Clinical: Francesco manages all aspects of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. He has special interest in airways disease (asthma, bronchiectasis and COPD), interstitial lung disease, thromboembolic disease (lung clots) and the symptomatic & palliative management of end-stage lung disease.

Research: His research interests include the role of FeNO in the management of acute COPD exacerbation, non-invasive ventilation in acute COPD exacerbation and the management of pleural infections.

Personal: He is fluent in Italian and loves coffee, music on vinyl and guitars and hanging out with his family.
