He works as a Specialist General Physician and Diabetologist, initially at Swan District Hospital and now at SJOG Midland Hospital. He previously has also worked in the diabetes clinic at Royal Perth Hospital.
Clinical: In addition to achieving good blood sugar control, Chandrin aims to provide holistic care to all his diabetes patients, with emphasis on the entire individual based on their life-style and needs. Utilising diabetes medications for weight optimisation, protection from common diabetes complications such as kidney and heart disease and addressing other risk factors such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels will be a priority.
Chandrin also has a very keen interest in diabetes technology (including insulin pumps, continuous and flash glucose monitoring) and works with patients and their nurse educators, in order to derive the maximum benefit from the accessible technology.
